Are they any good?

I bought one on spec. Looks huge on the packet, but I'm not sure if it'll be useful as a garden shade thingy or what.

Ooooh watching with interest

HanShotFirst · 16/05/2013 16:58

We have two sun sails and took them camping as well as putting them to use as cover during the wet summer last year. It kept the worst of the rain showers off, so we could still bbq and sit out, rather than keep retreating!

How big is the one at Lidl? Is it UV proof?

RooneyMara · 16/05/2013 17:34

Ooh! Han that sounds good.

I am waiting till can put down ds3 before having a good look, will update.

RIGHT it is, wait for it: 450 long x 440 wide x 180 high, but obvs doesn't go right down to the ground.

It says, UPF 80? whatever that means.

ever such a funny shape though. and have found an old thread on ere wot says it's a bit of a pita? I can't be sure it's the same one.

They have super mats as well which are 2x3 metres but oblong, so great for outside a caravan but not really a bell tent Smile

Cool, thank you Rooners.

Does it come with 3 x posts ? #thicko

RooneyMara · 16/05/2013 17:47

No two...one at each end I think. And sort of batman style shape iykwim. you tie down the side bits and each end with guy lines.

I think it will fall over Grin

The poles are LUSH btw, they're black and shiny and sprung. German quality Wink

Ahhhh, gotcha. Batman style, yep.

Vital q - how much? In £££ I mean. God I'm tired.

RooneyMara · 16/05/2013 19:40

Grin I like you. it was 24.99. It is on the floor, it will never roll up the proper way again will it...bit like the tent - I just failed to get that back in the enormo-bag.
