DH wants a petrol lantern for his birthday!!

Not a clue where to start so any ideas suggestions gratefully received. Read somewhere that Petromax was a decent brand anyone ever used one of these? Not sure why he can't just make do with Pants and socks once again this year.

We have Coleman ones. They are very reliable. Just remember not to leave the old petrol in over winter - empty and use fresh.

They are good for later in the year when the evenings are darker earlier. The noise is very satisfying and the light is very adjustable and can be bright.

They do take some care - our DD had a nasty burn last year when helping me carry the lantern and her hand slid down the handle onto the metal top. Horrible.
