CAMPING JUNKIES - Sleeping Bag Advice

Camping Virgin Shock Please be gentle with me...

Planning only to go camping in Spring, Summer and Autumn and warm parts of France:)(At least at this point in the game!)

I feel the cold and was thinking maybe a 3 season sleeping bag, but maybe a regular bag with a liner (or maybe just bringing extra blankets) would be just as good? Usually I sleep under a 15 tog duvet all year round plus 2 blankets in the winter!!

Did search on UK Campsite and Vango Nitestar 350 or 450 where popular, anyone have one of these?

TIA:)

If you feel the cold then I'd go for the 3 season Vango, they're meant to be great, we've got one of \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3407930.htm\these} but we're far more fair weather campers (well dh is) and being kingsize, we can fit a small person in too if necessary, we sleep on a ready bed with a plastic backed picnic rug underneath it - our bedrooms have carpets Grin and we are like toast, too hot sometimes.

You could always take your duvet in a stuff sac as well if you can fit it in!

If you can wait to buy this one, then they have money of them quite frequently - never buy anything full price for camping!

We ahve Vango sleepign bags (3 season but not sure which ones) and they are great. We have had them for ages (7 odd years I'd say) and they are still going strong. I'd recommend them to anyone. we ahve been camping in britain in a small tent lying on the ground in October and still been warm.

liners are a good idea as well tho as not only do they keep you warm but they save on washing the sleeping bag too which reduces its tog.

Thanks girls:) I think it will be a Vango 3 season sleeping bag.

Am looking forward to going. Last year children went with school friends and DH while I had a pamper weekend with a friend. Don't think camping can quite measure up to the delights of Bath and shopping etc but I am sure I will have a great time nevertheless!
