Camping in and around Ross on wye

Can anyone recommend a site. Would prefer a smaller site with lovely toilets and showers

Is this close enough? It's near Monmouth, we stayed there a few years ago, I can remember the owners being very helpful when we ran out of gas (dh insisted that we had enough, we ran out half way through cooking dinner )

Rowlestone Court Farm isn't too far from there & is very lovely.

Beware of Glen Trothy.

3 years ago we were made to move our tent half way through preparing supper even though we'd followed their pitching instructions to the letter and they had been round to inspect when we'd just started pitching.

Then site itself is nice but there is some road noise. The owners are unbelievably grumpy.

We won't be going back!
