Camping at River Dart Country Park.

Has anyone ever camped there. We have been on a day trip there last summer, and thought how nice it would be to stay there. We are thinking of going at the end of july. Just wanted to know of anyones expereinces . Have to go to work soon, so will check back later, thanks

Yep twice, absolutely love it. We go in term time so its quiet although the weekends are busy. It doesnt matter, the facilities can cope easily and the pitches have a reasonable space around them.

We had a bit of trouble with mud last july but the lovely staff were replacing turf as fast as they could to try to solve the problem. The whole countrynwas washed out though so cant blame the campsite.

There is tonnes of stuff to do from swinging on rope swings and playing on the pirate ship (free) to zorbing and kayaking which you have to pay for.

A couple of miles up river off the site you can even go wild swimming if the conditions are safe.

Go for it, we wont be going this year but will go again sometime
