need to find a campsite near Spanish/French border

This summer we are planning on driving down to the Med at Spanish/French border.
Have booked our first stop in Loire Valley then will meander on down stopping overnight somewhere, until we reach the med.

Dh wants to drive through Pyrenees which was our reason for going in that direction. But I cannot choose which site, or indeed even choose between France or Spain!

Ideally looking for a site next to the beach, with a pool or two, but fairly quiet too so not too much noise at night. Is that possible?

Has anyone stayed near there and where would you recommend. Any help greatfully received.

El Delfin Verde is not too far into Spain from Southern France, direct beach access and HUGE pool, or there are sites in Argeles (France) that you can visit Spain from.

On a 2 day drive, we have made it as far as an hour+ past Barcelona in Spain (Salou, for Portaventura).

Camping Cypsela in Pals is bloody fantastic. Went there for years as kids.

We stayed near Pamplona here last year for three nights before heading up to St Emillion and then the Loire. Was a lovely place to be, we were the only British people, very low key family Spanish campsite. Not near the sea but the lake was absolutely gorgeous to swim in and the pool was very nice.

It's not really a 'destination' camping place but was so different and in such a beautiful, away from it all, area we all adored it. Would absolutely love to go back again.
