Who is still camping this weekend despite the weather?

We are off to Welsummer tomorrow. I am being positive and focusing on the sunny spells rather than the showers. Note to self: must buy golf brolly ;-)

We are going camping this week (Tuesday to Thursday) in Sussex with my six-year old and two other families and their kids. My DD can get frightened of things pretty easily but is keen to try camping. I have been before in my younger days pre. kids but many, many, many years ago. My worry is the prediction of thunder storms for Wednesday night/Thursday morning. I am unsure whether to abandon the trip on Wednesday afternoon and head back to the safety of the house in London on Wednesday evening before the storms kick off. One night under the stars may well be enough! Anyone else going ahead with camping this week? Anyone camped with children during a thunder/lightning? Tips appreciated.
