campervan pitfalls

Hello

We have started to look into buying a campervan of our own and are off to view a T25 1982 vw van on Monday. I have a list of things to look for/ask about but I wondered if anyone with more experience had any tips on there were any particular issues we should keep an eye out for.

Thanks

The van isn't in Nottingham is it? Blue with a white high top?

2 nights ago you were doing a grand job putting me off it - now I want to buy it Wink

No much further south but dh is working nearby.

Is there one for sale by you?

No, it sounded like my old one that's all.

If you're still set on a T25 it sounds OK. The stuff that needs doing wouldn't put me off at all. Much better a van that needs cosmetic finishing than one that looks fone but has hidden mechanical or bodywork issues.

I flip from thinking "interiors can be fixed!" To "not another project" :)

Ok brief update spent the last week looking. Went to see one today which ticked all the boxes, useable, good storage, good to excellent exterior and engine, well loved and looked after.

Just had a (realistic) offer accepted and feeling a bit giddy, especially dh Grin
