VW campervan - where does baby sleep?

We've hired a campervan for the week, but have suddenly realised we have no idea where to put 11mo DS. Is there any way of making the bed in the pop up safe for him? A bed guard? Or a travelcot that's small enough to go up top? Or do we build him a 'nest' on the floor?

We could co-sleep, but he tends to sleep better on his own.

Bugger... we're leaving tomorrow. Really should have thought this through in advance!

There are net guards you can buy for the pop top but to be honest I wouldn't put an 11 mo up there. We co-sleep with our 18 month old and put the 2 bigger ones up there. Don't think you'll get a travel cot small enough either. Nest on the floor sounds like your best bet.

We made DD a nest on the floor when she was wee.

Thank you. Nest is sounding most likely. We'll probably put him in the main bed for the start of the evening, then move him onto the floor when we turn in. If that doesn't work then I'll sleep in the bed with him, and DH can go upstairs.

(Heheheh, that's the first time I've called him DH - this is our honeymoon)

We used to mostly co-sleep with our babies in our van. Me and one baby down below, dp and toddler, and then 2 toddlers, up above. We tried putting dd1 in a carrycot and us both sleeping down below but she didn't take to it, the co-sleeping worked better.
