Urgent last minute question re sleeping bags

Hi
DD and I have always managed with cheap sleeping bags opened up and our kingsize duvet from home. This year we are going to France and I would like not to take the duvet but our sleeping bags wont be good enough. She is 8 so doesn't need to be so close to me (we have camped since she was 6 months old so habit wise have used each others body heat to keep warm but no need to continue with this, we will be sharing a double air bed).

Any recommendations for reasonably priced sleeping bags that can be used on their own and I can buy and get before Thursday?

I have just this moment ordered a Vango Sonno Comfort bag from Milletts, which I am hoping will be my dream bag. Min comfort rating -3C, soft lining, square not mummy-shape, and a relatively reasonable £40. £5.95 for two day delivery ... we go on Saturday so hoping its on time and lives up to expectations.

I got a couple of regatta ones half price from Argos for our trip.

Are you driving?

I ask because we now pack our duvet in first, and so it squashes down in the car with the weight of all the rest of the crap and thus makes the packing issue of the duvet negligeable (sp?)

I have the vango sonno (and got the extra large for width as I'm very tall). It is fab and works a treat for comfort with my 10cm sim. :) enjoy your trip.

Ooh, glad to hear it Tomjoules! I have a 10cm SIM too, that's had a bit of use and new bag is for next week ... bliss. :)

Yep me too baby. I trialled it by lying in the bag on the sim in the shop! It is vvvv comfortable. I have a self inflating pillow too when there's not much room in the car, but am going to try to put my pillow in as there's a bit of room (dh not coming due to work!). :). Was toasty too.

We always put our duvets pillows eyc in vacuum bags , suck the air out with a Hoover and voila tiny tiny bag Wink. Oh and we use our air bed pump on the return journey .Grin
