family friendly site with access to Alton Towers

we are planning to go to Alton Towers and looking for a suitable site. I have been reading reviews on UK Campsite but after any recommendations that may have been used by mumsnetters.

We have stayed at Pillaging Hall Farm a couple of times, nice and clean, great park for the kids, fishing good ( d's spent day doing it) nice little shop and take away, plenty of toilets / showers which were nice and clean.

Pillaton

Star has very mixed reviews, mostly about their rules and regulations. Were you on site often, santac, or was it just a base fo ryou.

Pillaton is a fantastic site but it is about an hour to Alton Towers.
