Have you tried Golden Square near Helmesley - great for young families and they let you stay for one night (apart from Bank holidays)[http://www.goldensquarecaravanpark.com]

mummadeville · 29/07/2012 19:36

Thank you will give it a try

Wyse house campsite near malton. Small, but very perfectly formed in my opinion. Depends on what you want I guess.

\link{http://www.howgill-lodge.co.uk/\Howgill Lodge, near Bolton Abbey} (Skipton way)

I suppose it's Dales, rather than N Yorks, strictly speaking - v nice though Smile

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 29/07/2012 22:48

I'd phone the ones which you fancy and don't worry too much about what the websites say.

Weather is such that most campsites must be taking what business they can get. Surely.

Ponders · 29/07/2012 22:49

oh dear, just seen they have a min of 3 nights

sorry

Ponders · 29/07/2012 22:51

I was just thinking that, Mary!

although campers tend to be a hardy bunch as a rule Grin

mummadeville · 30/07/2012 08:34

Thank you will try them all today. Fingers crossed the weather holds out.

fatzak · 30/07/2012 19:49

Masons in Appletreewick is fab.

mummadeville · 30/07/2012 20:39

Thank you all so much they all look lovely. Migsy1 we managed to get a night at pexton moor farm near Dalby forest but we had to phone up for it. A group of us are now comparing diary's so we can work our way through your recommendations. Thank you again

Thanks for letting us know :) I've also been to Masons and it was fab although I believe the facilities can get over-used when they over-spill to the 2nd field. I went when it was -4 degrees at night and I just LOVED using the wonderful underfloor heated toilets. (small thing please me)

Just come back and we loved it! brilliant sight, gorgeous amenities and a great pub 10 mins walk away.

mummadeville · 05/08/2012 14:33

Thanks Happyscouse will add it to my list of sites to visit
