Stupid question perhaps, but am I allowed to take camping gas cannisters on Eurostar (the car train not the foot passenger one)? Hadn't thougth anything of it until a relative pointed it might be a no go. TIA to the seasoned campers who will no doubt know the answer.Smile

Yes - We did and it was fine.

We have a caravan and go in the Euro tunnel.

We are asked if we have gas cannisters in the van and then we have to have the euipment checked to make sure it is turned off at the valves.

Ive been told its to reduce fire risk. It gets very hot in the tunnel esp in warm weather.

Some of our friends who have been using tunnel for years have told us that before they used to insist the gas was turned off some people used to go in their vans and turn on their cookers to make cups of tea or even cook food.
