Yippeee! We're Going Camping for the First Time...er What do we Need????

We have a tent and sleeping bags.......

Plates, cups, kettle etc

What else??

this link is a good place to start. How long are you going for, how many adults/kids etc, do you have a tent? :)

We are going for a weekend, 2 adults 3 DCs age 14, 5 and 3. We do have a tent but we're not sure how to put it up!

After our recent camping trip ( first one) I would say, put your tent up in the garden first to check all is ok, enough pegs etc.

You need:
A tent :o (and pegs, mallet)
Something to sleep on/in (airbed, sleeping bags, pillows, duvets etc)
Something to cook with (gas stove/bbq)
Something to eat off
Warm clothes
Waterproofs
Torches

What we found really useful were vacuum bags, various plastic trugs, a loo bucket for 4yr olds night time use, spare tarp, loo roll, kitchen roll.

This is my camping list, use it every time we go, so I don't forget anything!!

I now discover that DH was given our tent without the instructions. He doesn't seem to think this is a problem.............
