Looking for pop up tent to sleep four for overnight stops. We're planning a road trip through France with our bell tent and don't want to keep unpacking/putting up the bell just for an overnight stop. Any sugesstions? We want something that we can pitch really fast and put our SIM in and we're ready for sleep!

I'm currently leching over this Quechua one.

OMG, I think I should have put 'cheap' in my title! We're investing in a Hilleberg backpacking tent (For flying and then camping rather than car camping) after the summer which is in the region of £800 so this is just something to tide us over.

Look at the Quechua 2 Seconds XXL llll on sp offer at £89.

Or look at the whole range of Quechua pop ups at Decathlon. They are v good. Also the Seconds family 4.1 on offer at £99.

We've got one of these for exactly the same purpose (except we've got a big frame tent). Was £30 cheaper last year! www.decathlon.co.uk/base-seconds-42-tent-id_8091844.html

We've got the quechua one Jean linked to but it's more than you need for overnight.

I would go for the 4.1 at £99. They really are great tents.

4.1 £99 I was looking at one in the shop this morning - they are v roomy.

I've got a vango juno 500 teepee it is absolutely fab and can be pitched easily within 5 minutes, was less than fifty quid

I have this one. It's great for one night - takes no time at all to put up (pops up plus 5 mins to put it guy ropes/velcro floor up. The beauty of it is though that you can use it for much longer trips too, without it being much more bulky and time-consuming than one half its size.

I have an Outwell fusion 400 for trips on my own with my boys. Its great - really ready to put up and plenty of space to sleep. Smallish porch area but for your purposes of night stop only that's probably not an issue.

We have the Quechua 2 seconds XXL llll which has plenty of room for 4.
We bought it for the road trip through France as our main tent is an Outwell Bear Lake which takes ages to put up!
It is so easy to use and pack away, would definitely recommend. We were caught in a very bad storm last year and it stood up to it with no problems or leaks.
The Quechua 4.1 looks good too though, and not much difference in price at the moment. Will depend on how important it is for you to be able to stand up I think.

I have the XXL IIII too. It's fine for 4, and the porch is handy. It's a doddle to put up and easy to pack away once you have the knack.

We did a three week road trip down to Italy and back last year with this Quecha 4.2, we did 2-3 night stops and it was brilliant. Slept 4 of us perfectly, DS1 had his own 1 man as he is long and gets in the way Wink and we could pitch in 15 mins and de camp with everything back in the car in about 20 by the end. Can't recommend it enough (I'm online at the moment looking at campsites for this years adventure).
