Please can you advise me on sleeping bags :)

We are going camping in Aug for the first time ever!
Need to get dh and I sleeping bags. Do we need season 2 ones?
Which makes are good ones?
Will the dc's be ok in their Argos - sleepover type ones, with blankets and fleece pjs etc? Or do they need 'proper' ones too?
Also do you advise double or single bags? I sleep with one knee right up! Maybe a double each...!

layers are better for summer in UK, more layers under than over. temp drops dramatically at about 4, then gets really hot when the sun comes up and turns the tent into a green house at 5ish, so much better to be able to strip the layers off the kids when it gets hot otherwise they'll be awake at 5!!! also better for yourself to be able to layer up at night and strip off at 5ish

Have you a go outdoors near you or look at their website, you may get some good advice there. Sorryive no advice myself, dh does all that and I just sleep in them

its not the warmest around and v ugly and bulky....but not too expensive and a lot better than our previous argos one - it was the widest I could find when looking last year which helps as I sleep on my side.............

We have v good sims underneath and are generally plenty warm enough

Got DS this as recommended on here... shop around you may get for better price...as he hated mummy shaped bag and it is fab .... really cosy and plenty of room....hth
