I've just ordered some Everbright ones. They seem to have had reasonable reviews, but we haven't tried them yet.

They also have some solar party lights which look quite nice too.

I have those mishy, they're great very pretty and don't need strong sunlight to charge.

Just had a Maplins brochure delivered - they have 200 coloured solar fairy lights with 2 operating modes (constant or flashing) for just £14.99 instead of £34.99

Are solar ones better than battery powered? Do battery powered ones even exist?

MsRinky · 28/06/2012 18:24

I have white battery powered ones from John Lewis. Bought them in the sale after Christmas though, don't know if they have them year round. And as of my way home tonight I now have Maplins coloured solar ones as well. Oops.
