Campsite in New Forest with ponies?

Just watching something special with dd and justin was at a New Forest campsite where ponies wandered amongst the tents (which may or may not be a good thing!). I think the children would love this, do you know which campsite it may be?
Thanks

That wasn't working with the thug we came across purple

It's all you bloody grockles coming down clogging up the roads, taking over the supermarkets during reasonable hours and feeding them chips

Jojay · 28/06/2012 09:23

Oi, don't you call me a grockle!

I might not live there any more but I went to Brock Primary, Priestlands and Brock College, and my parents and grandparents still live in Ashurst / Brock and Lymington so I'm sure that makes me an honoury local!

And I used to do lots of drifting on my Pony 'Spud' in my youth too.

I'd love to live down there again Smile

Bet you still rock up in the school holidays and drive down the A35 at 12 miles an hour at 5.30pm going "Ooh look, innit pretty" :p

Ladies ladies, no fighting! Grin the grockles pee me off too I don't leave our area for the 6wks if summer hols!

The ponies are little f**kers (said as keen animal lover) We had no problem at Hollands wood, but at Roundhill a mare and foal were actually aggressive-they charged me whilst I tried to shut the car boot to stop them getting in (I had just turned up and they ran across the site towards us) I had my baby and toddler with me...the took no notice of waving arms etc just charged. I locked us in the car and called the front gate who turned up with sticks and drove them off. The same two destroyed 2 tents whilst we were there. I wish they would just invest in cattle grid on the sites - every house has cattle grids or fences, I don't see why the sites don't.

That said, the area is beautiful and long meadow looks fab :)

Nope purple, I come off the M27 at J2 and get to my Mum's house that way. No sitting in Lyndhurst or chugging along the A35 for me Grin

PurplePidjin · 29/06/2012 07:05

But you seem to know exactly what i mean about people who do HmmGrin

We went camping in the New Forest when my younger brother was about 6 yrs - a pony kicked him in the stomach and he had to go straight to A & E!
Nice to look at but don't get too close.
