camping le bois tordu

have just booked a week at this campsite and i'm now getting a bit worried as it doesn't seem to be used by any of the other companies-keycamp,eurocamp,etc.bit worried in case its a dodgy site.
anyone been there at all?

'We went when our kids were around the same age. The pitch sizes are pretty average for the Vendee sites we have been on.

We looked in last year when we were staying at Clarys and the pool complex now looks very good for young children.

Beach opposite is good and quite close, but a nightmare to try to take a buggy. We ended up taking the car to the carpark most times.

A good site for young kids (as it is quiet at night), with a supermarket attached (although slightly more expensive than the bigger ones like the Hyper U in St H.) '

what is an average pitch size mb?

Sorry to be vague, but 'Big enoug' I suppse. Epect a picth with your caravan and enough area to sit outside on chairs with table etc and park your car. Don't expect more than that....might be pleasently surprised IYSWIM.

Remember that your site is only your base. As long as the pool is OK, the kids will be happy, you will have lots of place that are nice to visit eyc.

You could post on UKcampsite.co.uk, and see if anyone has been there?

try the message board forum on www.matthewsfrance.co.uk (sorry don't know how to do links) just hover your mouse over one of the destinations (Vendee, Brittany etc) and it's near the bottom of the drop down menu.

Matthews Holidays actualy go there so you'll probably find people on the forum who've been.

As mb says, it's only your base and if it's nott v good, there are loads of fab places around that area. Haven't been to a dodgy site in France though in all the years we've been - they've all been pretty good. Site last year was crap for the kids pool but great for everything else. Kids pool was so bad it put us of going back tho, shame as it was right on a beach!
