Calling all stylish (and organised) bell tenters

We have (and totally love) a 5 m bell tent.
My issue is that I am unsure how to store all our stuff, just getting used the whole round thing.
We have a quarter inner which is good for shoving all the bedding/clothes in in the day time.
Any other stylish/practical ideas....

I just leave stuff that will make my tent look untidy in the car Grin

Ah nice tip! At the mo we don't even have a table/kitchen thing and do a lot of floor sitting surrounded by stuff! I am just looking for some ideas to give me an excuse to buy frivolous cool stuff that I can justify to DH!

Ps, any pictures of your beautiful tents would be great too!

Rocket, I use this when I'm away for a week or more, which is an immensely handy storage space for clothes and washbags. I pretty it up by putting an embroidered tablecloth that my nan made over the top of it.

We also have this wondrous thing which folds to hardly anything in transit then is a handy seat and storage in the tent. We keep the dry/tinned food inside it.

We keep our kitchen stand and Iceytek outside the tent so that doesn't get cluttery. And yes, the boot of the car is also a great place to hide your crap park your kitchen gear overnight Wink

There are some pics on my profile but not great ones - I will see if I can link elsewhere...

Lovecat, I have the phwoars for your handy camping sideboard thing! I've never seen a low, long one before. Most lovely. (and handy) No longer available on Amazon! Sad

Lovecat · 19/06/2012 22:45

Oh no, I hadn't noticed that!

It seems to have been discontinued :( However, there's one going on ebay if you don't mind schlepping to Cambridge to pick it up: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kampa-Hollie-Camping-Cupboard-Camping-Storage-Ex-Condition-RRP-54-99-/290730523470?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item43b0e3bb4e

Thanks, Lovecat. Grin Not sure I can schlep up to Cambridge (could arrange a courier though...) If I don't go for that one, I'll keep my eyes peeled for another on ebay.

Lurvely! I'd really like a low storage thingy like that. And look at your glowy chandelier thing! Grin

How about this one, even has a kitchen sink!

I have a camping kitchen cupboard. Stove on top. Icy tek box by the side. I have the cupboard forward from the tent wall as am worried about fire. Then I have a big storage box between the cupboard and tent wall. Keep all the plates, cutlery, pans, etc in the box. Food is in the cupboard.

Then I have a low table and chairs at the back of the tent. Games, books under the table.

Quarter inner. Clothes in the inner along with sleeping bags.

Fab pics, thanx love cat. Love the fancy table cloth. Thanks for the tips. I think I will try to source something similar to your cupboard thing.

For long camps, we have a tarp outside with a windbreak, then all cooking stuff/food cooking stoves etc go out side under the tarp. We have
this out well kitchen

Inside we have a large doormat with one of the ikea shoe racks to put all shoes on just to the left of the door. We also take a collapsible laundry basket.

Beds are laid out, and during the day I pull the duvets very tightly over the SIMs and tuck them in underneath so they look like day beds.

Finally each person has their own large storage boxes in which to keep all personal belongings which also act as bedside tables. We use something similar to this because they collapse flat (different pattern). Ikea storage box

I am generally a pretty untidy person, but can't bear a messy tent, this works well for us.

We have something very similar to that camping cupboard from argos.
It keeps all sorts of stray bits and pieces tidy!

I too can't bear my bell all messy. It must be beautiful.
