Why would you choose stainless steel over aluminium?

I read something (years ago) about aluminium being linked to Alzheimers so I don't use it for any kind of cooking tbh.

yeah, 1/2 remembered associations with alzheimers here too.

Water boiled in aluminium tastes horrible, IMO.

Well I seem to have order 3! 1 aluminium that I'll send straight back and 2 stainless steel, one of which will also have to go back - doh!
