But, any tips for novice campers?! It's DD's birthday tomorrow, so we're heading off early and will stop somewhere nice for lunch, so dinner tomorrow at the farm will be something quick and easy (but still treat-ish as its her birthday) - any suggestions for that? I told you we're green at this...!

Hot dogs! Great, she loves those and we never have them at home so that's a real treat.

We've really dumbed down our camping experience and have paid for the ready-beddy service so our beds will be made when we arrive, how pampered?! I wanted to book the service where they light your fire etc., but husband (who likes to think he's Bear Ghrylls) wouldn't hear of anyone else lighting the fire!
