Help, help - Last minute booking - Campers, Campervanners & Caravanners

venetianred · 31/05/2012 14:55

We are planning a last minute holiday away in our campervan but everyone I've rung is full.

Does anyone know of a website or any way of finding out what might be available for 2nd - 6th June, we need an electrical hook up.

We weren't sure if we'd be able to get away.

Thanks for any help or ideas.

Where do you want to go?

The wonderful Carol at Rynys campsite in snowdonia
Has never let me down.

You can't book ahead as such... You just phone and turn up on the day after finding out if there are spaces.
Saying that, I think you CAN book if you want ehu
It is one of my favourite campsites ever ... So keep it quiet Wink

nope, same problems here, the whole entire Lake district is completely booked to capacity it seems Sad

caerlaverock · 31/05/2012 15:41

Turn up loads of folk wil cancel due to crappy weather

nosleepwithworry · 31/05/2012 15:46

i presumed that all campers & caravaners were like us and could give a fiddlers fart about bad weather! Got wellies, got waterproofs, got picnic and heating int caravan.

Ooh lightweights, we could benefit from said lightweights though!

Ty this link:

www.ukcampsite.co.uk/articles/view.asp?id=385

It is supposed to list sites with confirmed late availability.

Best of luck!

We are interested in heading Suffolk, Surrey, Dorset way. We have to stop by London and see someone on Wednesday so it made sense to go that way.

I really like the Snowdonia campground and have 'saved' it. Thanks so much troutpout.

The lightweight comment makes me laugh. My husband is a bit of a lightweight at times. I'm happy to play a hundred games of scrabble and read the papers although our children are 6 and 3, so they get a bit stir crazy in the rain at times.

If you are camping and caravan club members you can book online so obviously check availability.

We booked ages ago and now I'm dreading it....brrr!!

Unfortunately the central heating in our tent doesn't seem to work properlyWink

Thanks MummyPigs - just what I was hoping for - checking it out now.

DoYOuThink - we are members. I didn't realise you could go online. I'll dig out my membership number and get signed up.

Thank you all. Think I'm back on track now.
