I've not bought one before but it certainly looks sturdier than a blue flimsy tesco jobby Grin

I don't think any of these table and bench combos are particularly sturdy. We have been through a fair few.
You would be better off buying a table and the stools as a separate unit.

I think you'd beb better off with something like this;

Agree with beaver, separate table and chairs is more flexible. We have a table like the decathlon one and it is the best camping table we have ever had

Wolfgirl · 31/05/2012 21:42

ooooh, now that's tempting. Thing is we are now on a budget, as i was made redundant end of Jan.

But now then! I have an update for you concerning the two in question.

We bought both this afternoon, and have to say, the Aldi one wins hands down. 8/10 I would say for this style product.

Side by side next to the Tesco one, it was zillions times more sturdier, and good decent sturdy table, whereas the Tesco one felt like it was buckling under your arms. The finish on the Tesco blue one, was just awful, as though some manufacturing blunder had occurred. Looks like there was a moulding problem and it had come through the surface to the top of the table.

Anyway, even though the Aldi one was double the price, this is the one we will stick with.

I do like that decathlon one though... wondering whether I should show DH. But it more pricey again... oh decisions decisions.

But for the two mentioned, as I say... Aldi, definitely!

TBH the one beaver linked to is not much more money than the Aldi one , I betcha it will last much longer. I have found the all in one table/ benches buckle when sat on.

update on the Aldi table n chairs on new thread. Not good report though ladies. Sad it's going back Shock

here is the one we have it has lasted really well and the dual height thing is handy

Wolfgirl · 06/06/2012 11:59

ahhh thanks caerlaverock - and it is on offer too. We have one pretty much identical, and I was thinking just this weekend, it might be more suitable to have another one and separate chairs.

Or, one like Vivalabeaver suggested above. Stools look a little tiny, especially for my big arse bum Wink

Halfords do one for £40 including 4 stools; you can vary the height and the surface is about 60 x 120 cm - it folds up square rather than rectangular, so fits in behind the front seats very nicely.
