Normally I get all organised and get a crate of food before, but this time we want to have a trip down memory lane and shop at Booths on the way to the camp site. Mad idea, especially as we'll have to drag 3 children around but we like living life on the edge. Anyway, making a list of food basics that is ideal for brekkies/snacks/lunch not sure of main meals yet as we will wait and see what's on offer and get that fresh or eat out. What have I forgotten/other good ideas?

eggs
cheese
butter
yoghurt
orange huice

Looks fairly comprehensive to me (although I only really caravan, rather than Proper Camping). The one thing we always have, missing from your list, is packet soup as it's light and good to warm up with.

instant porridge, brandy for your cocoa/porridge/wounds, spice mixes like jerk seasoning, arabic, moroccan etc

Good idea Twattock, I bought some Jamie Oliver spice rubs yesterday, thinking they'll liven up anything cooked on the bbq.

I tend to take brioches/croissants etc so that DCs can get themselves brekky some days without needing to do any washing up! I also pack a little bottle of oil for frying bacon etc, otherwise it tends to burn on the bottom of the pan as our camping stove isn't very turn-off-and-on-able!
