Co-sleeping 1 yo DS - how best to sort sleeping arrangements?

At home DS1 sleeps in a bedside cot and still wakes to feed 3 or more times in the night.

Our tent has 2 sleeping pods, 1 will have 6yo DS1 in, the other DH and me. When we first took DS1 camping he had a travel cot in the other pod but by then he was sleeping through so there were no night wakings to contend with Smile

So, I'm imagining it'll be easiest to have DS2 in with us but am wondering how best to keep him warm and avoid him getting squashed with us on the airbed. Maybe put the travel cot mattress by the side of the air bed?

Any nifty tips from more seasoned campers gratefully received!

I haven't camped much with dh & baby, but having 4 co-slept children and holidaying in various places - I would put your dh in the other pod with 6yo and then you and 1yo in the other pod.

We managed it that way too-dh goes in with our eldest and i have the double airbed to myself with the youngest.

thanks for the tips neddle and fish.

We went away for a weekend recently and tried having all 3 of us on the one airbed which worked ok, so long as I remembered not to move a muscle during the night!

So, the idea of splitting and taking one DS each is beginning to sound more appealling - now just need to get another double airbed Grin
