Northwest/ lake district campsite recommendation

Hi there - any recommendations for a campsite that allows campfires in the Lake District? visiting relatives in Acrrington in august and want to combine it with a camping holiday.

not fussy as long as it is in a picturesque spot and we can have a fire.

Fisherground! No idea if it's near Accrington but it is the most wonderful site and allows fires.

Fisherground is great, if a little on the expensive side I thought. The surroundings are just amazing and they have metal wheel rims dotted about that you can have a fire in, so you pitch in front of one and hey presto!

That looks perfect - thanks! I notice they don't take bookings - I expect they must be popular, anyone got any experience of best time to arrive to get a pitch etc?
