I wants to spend some money.... cooking'n'camping

OK, last year DH (with some able assistance from the DDs) persuaded me that we should go camping. We had a lovely time (though the good weather did help).

Fast forward to this year, and they all want to go again. However, we went with friends last time and used their Cadac to cook. 'Twas lovely - I like to cook and we made some nice meals on it. Now, we need to get something of our own. DH does not want the same thing, as he says it's too tall, and you can't move it under the canopy easily to cook when it's pissing down raining. Oh wise camping vipers, what should I persuade him I need? Ta!

PS He's not convinced by the 'nice meals' argument - he thinks camping should be cheesy beans and Vesta boil-in-the-bag, but I'm not 'aving that!

Cobb Cobb Cobb Cobb

[safety first] I would not cook with one under a canopy attached to a tent

Tell dh cheesy beans + boil in the bag x 2 nights+ = Campers' Bowel

Well, it took longer than I expected for you to show up with that suggestion, Slubber Grin

No - I really did want some ideas/feedback on what (not) to buy Sad

OK my ideas are.
Buy a Cobb
Don't buy a Cadac.
Or just buy any old gas burner jobby and get really good at doing one pot meals +/- a home made haybox
