We are camping in Bournemouth over the jubilee weekend. Accoridng to the papers today may is going to be a wash out and maybe even the Jubilee weekend :( Can anyone recommend waterproofs for a 2 year old?

You can get all-in-ones from Regatta for babies and toddlers. Sports Direct often have them in at a discounted price or you can get them on the internet.

Alternatively, Regatta also do jackets and trousers for the same age if you prefer the flexibility of separates. (Mountain Warehouse also go down to 2 years in their waterproof ranges).

Fingers crossed you won't need them for the Jubilee weekend.....

Fingers crossed that the weather is better, we are camping in Wales that week:)
in the event that it doesn't I can't recommend Togz dungarees highly enough, I bought them for Dd1 when she was 2 1/2 3 years ago, they are really adjustable and she has only just grown out of them and passed them on to dd2, they are still in fantastic condition.

Something like this, maybe. We have one for ds3 and it's great. Waterproofs

Nooooo - we are in Hartland from the Tuesday after the weekend. Please let it be sunny! Surely they cant forcast reliably that distance ahead? [hopeful]

I picked up a waterproof onesie for DS from Mothercare the other day. It's got crocodile eyes and scales. Not sure what age they go up to, but quite impressed with it when out in the rain recently. It was £15 in the sale.

Got ours from waterproof world.co.uk

Where you camping? We are in same area at same time Grin

Slubberdegullion · 09/05/2012 19:23

We have used the regatta ones for years now. I think they are pretty good for the price.

ChippyMinton · 09/05/2012 20:05

Another regatta fan. Try their outlet store here for bargains.

AllOverIt · 09/05/2012 20:31

We've got the regatta ones for the DCs, 5 and almost 3. They are fab!

MrsNouveauRichards · 09/05/2012 20:55

Yes to Regatta. We have a shop called Store21 (used to be QS I think) that is now stocking Regatta splash suits for £9

loubielou31 · 09/05/2012 21:23

We have [[http://www.muddypuddles.com/boys/collections_1/waterproofs_1 muddy puddles] and they're pretty good.

wearymum200 · 10/05/2012 20:08

Was also going to recommend muddy puddles, or littletrekkers co uk. We have had a succession of indestructible ,totally waterproof all in ones from them over the years. More expensive than the regatta ones but having personally been soaked once too often while wearing a regatta coat, i have tended to avoid them.

MrsMc82 · 11/05/2012 09:20

Another vote for little trekers www.littletrekkers.co.uk/shop/index.php/browse/0dd69c1b702da314a0db4ecca1bea286 got DS didkrikson cagoule and dungarees that , if I tell him he looks like a fireman in, he loves (he's 2)........ No-way the little monkey's getting soaked in them no matter how many muddy puddles he dives in (bloody peppa pig!!!)

AngelsWithSilverWings · 11/05/2012 13:52

I went out to get waterproof jackets and trousers for my two last Friday having had a fruitless visit to Millets the previous week.

Finally got some in Go Outdoors but they had barely any left - I bought the only items left in my DC's sizes.

Hope you have more luck!

We are also camping on the Jubilee weekend - fingers crossed for warm and dry weather!

Lovecat · 11/05/2012 17:47

Another vote for Togz here, DD had the dungarees and jacket from 2yr old, she's now 7 and only just grown out of them, so we got her a new set which are age 6-7 and similarly roomy (reckon they'll last her til 10 or she won't be seen dead in them, whichever comes sooner). The dungarees are fab when we go to the park after it's been raining, straight down the slides without worrying about getting wet!

We got them from this ebay seller, v. quick delivery.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 14/05/2012 22:19

We've got the same stuff as lovecat from the same e-bay seller for our ds's. It's excellent and has a good resale value too!
