We have a 2 ring gas stove to cook on.

I'm thinking of taking our slow cooker with us when we go camping for a week in June.

Please inspire me with some recipes!

Lamp chops on the BBQ with couscous , pitta bread , hummus and reheated roasted vegetables. ( I roast peppers, courgettes and aubergines and freeze them in foil containers)

Couldn't get lamb chops for last weekend so I bought lamb koftas instead and they were lovely.

We always make a chilli and take it with us frozen. It helps keep the coolbox cold and it's usually defrosted ready to eat on day 2. Take boil in the bag rice or buy crusty bread to serve with it.

Take packs of pasta, rice and couscous to serve with fresh meat or fish you get locally or canned tuna and add different variations of tomatoes, olives, capers, pesto, peppers, canned sweetcorn and dried herbs and black pepper to make it more interesting.

Love the idea of frozen roasted veg. I'll steal that idea if I may Angels.

fish and chips on fridays or whatever the first day is, so we can just get set up and eat and chill out.
pasta and sauce
open fire cooked chicken casserole (that doesn't help does it!)
sometimes take canned chilli, or pre-made curry/chilli/spaghetti bolognaise, re-heat and serve with crusty bread.
fish is good to cook on stoves, as quick to cook, buy or pre-make pour over sauce, with salad and bread.
also yes to eating out!

Blimey - there's some gourmet camp cooks amongst you!

Last weekend we had curry on Friday night that I'd made at home, cereal and bacon and egg baps for breakfasts, picnic for Saturday lunch, barbeque on Saturday night with lovely locally bought sausages and burgers, cous cous and some pasta salad that I'd taken with me, ate out for Sunday lunch and then just did some pasta in sauce with hot dogs on Sunday night.

Think we'll need a bit more variety and imagination for a whole week away!

Ooooh Oooooh, Get a Banana, don't take it ouf its skin, but cut a slit in the curve of it, then stuff it with chocolate buttons, rest it on a BBQ on its back (if that makes sense) take off after five mins, the skin will go black don't worry, cover with squirty or fresh cream and then dig into the skin with a spoon, hot melted choc banana boat heaven
