Not sure whether I am sad or not - we have a beautiful new Dutch tent which suits us perfectly and we have no storage room for Lakey. It still feels like we are selling one of our children.... Sad

she is here if you want to say hello to her before she goes

Shock I am debating selling our Monty 6... Keep going into a cold sweat and chickening out
Lucycat · 06/05/2012 15:05

How long do people wait before putting a bid on for a tent? We've had a couple of buy it now requests but with so many watchers we've decided to wait - it's been on for 8 days and has had over 600 viewings but NO bids! I know it's £300 but even so.... Do you think people are using a bid sniper?

mning to take my mind off the football Grin feeling a bit sick.....

I imagine people watch until the last minute or you could have lots of nosy mumsnetters watching.

If it doesn't work you could list on the free ads on uk campsite.

Good luck

Lucycat · 06/05/2012 16:02

mmm yes 80 nosey watchers Grin

and ukcampsite is my other option....if she doesn't sell.

Well she's sold and some very nice sounding people are coming to collect her soon. We had well over the 1000 viewings at the listings Shock and we got a fair price for her so I'm happy.

Can I have my dining room back now?

That was a lovely looking tent. I like your bookshelf thing. Where is that from? I want one!

Lucycat · 10/05/2012 16:05

It's really useful - I think it's this Coleman one here but we've had it so long I think it's been discontinued Sad

I remember when you first got her....

So much excitement

So much hope

Lucycat · 10/05/2012 21:36

She's moving onto a lovely person who was very excited - but she's just too big for us and the titchy little continental stylee pitches.

I remember asking you about whether to buy her and by the time you'd replied I'd bought her - good news is that we got back almost as much as we paid - I reckon about £10 per camping trip it's cost us Smile

Now I am with the Dutch and their campingtenten.....Grin

She served you well, and long may she continue to provide camping pleasure to others Smile

So the tent pitches in France tend to be small too? We were really surprised on some of the HUUUUUUUUUUUGE sites in Germany that the tent area pitches tended to be quite bijou.

So Lucy with orders dds are they still happy to kip in the main tent with you (albeit in separate bedrooms)? Are they itching to get out into pups yet?

Lucycat · 11/05/2012 16:11

Yes they are still happy to share, they get on really well (she says listening to the racket upstairs at the moment!) and we like doing the 'night Jim-bob' thing Grin They are quite happy to share a bedroom too - well they don't have a choice. Dh and I don't use the bedroom compartment, we sleep in the man bit of the tent - more airey that way.

Pitches in the S of France do tend to be smaller and certainly across towards Italy and the Alps they are much smaller.

As an aside I have ordered some more clingons for the tarp today - small things get me excited. I now have both big and small ones Smile
