Looking for a 4-6 person tent on a low budget (first time campers)

Hi i'm looking for a 4-6 person tent for the summer, we will only be using it for a few days at a time, must be very water proof (nothing worse than getting wet), i don't want to spend a fortune. Have been looking at the 6 person tent in Argos which is on offer for £50 (6 person tent) but the reviews are a bit mixed, is there anything similar?

You might be better off looking on ebay for a quality used bargain?

I am watching a few, what are the best makes?

Not £50, but this has 3000mm hh whihc is top dollar waterproofing standard! here

2000mm hh is OK for waterproofing, 1500mm hh wouldn't be my choice.

Spend a bit more or go second hand. I got a cheap tent from Argos once. The poles snapped and I took it back.

Thank you, will keep an eye out on e-bay, i'm in no rush as its not camping weather at the moment.

I haven't got a tent to recommend for that price but second go outdoors.
Also try and get one with a sewn in ground sheet :)

We've got the 2010 model of this. Worth every penny !
