I got Carfest camping tickets - our first festival!

That's it really! . We've been camping occasionally over the past few years but we'll be off to Carfest in August for our very first festival experience and I just wanted to tell someone!

Carfest - Is it a mini festival?!

Oh, I wanted to go to this so much! can't afford it this year though, so hope they do it again next year!

Yes it's a 2 day festival with food and cars! Organised by Chris Evans - it sold out in an hour this morning but he was talking about maybe more tickets being on sale tomorrow? Or something - think they're going to announce something tomorrow anyway. I'm sadly a big Chris Evans fan so was ready at 8am and managed to get them. Dp and ds's are less keen but hey, what can you do?!

Dotty, we got tickets too. Family camping and went for quiet......! My boys including the dh are so excited. The joke is I am so not a camping person!!!!! Last time I camped I was on my D of E at school but they kept on and on so persuaded me. We will need to borrow a tent....what have I agreed to?

I didn't bother going for quiet tickets - am going to be very giddy and will want to be as near to everything as possible - am already stressing about how to get the entire contents of our house everything from the car to the tent - how do people do this?!

I have just written a long list!!!! Very excited. We have an enormous car so will be fine but in my last car we would have struggled. Have been trying to justify buying a bell tent as seen on another thread!!!!! A bit of an expense for two nights! I think I could get into this camping lark!!

Just realised you meant getting stuff from car to tent as opposed to getting stuff in the car! Hadn't thought of that problem. R u going on the Friday night or the Saturday?

Hi - the Friday night - hopefully early afternoon so we can get sorted!

The weekend ticket means you can go from 2pm Friday. A wheelbarrow's a good idea but I don't think we'll be able to fit one in the car!
