Mazda Bongo Campervan - I've fallen in love with an old one

Would I be mad to buy it? It's 17 years old but looks great still. Kids are so excited but I'm dithering.

Anyone got one and would you reommend?

No I haven't got one. We did look at some but decided on a VW multivan instead. I spoke to a few dealers about Bongos though and it seems the most important thing is to check and verify its history. They told me I need to know who imported and converted it and what grade it was sold when sold in Japan.
