novice camper needs mattress advice...

camping at the weekend for the first time, plus first time with kids:) hoping its fun, looking for tips but am starting to flap about various stuff, including mattresses. Have a 6 man tent with a double air mattress. was going to let the kids sleep with us, but having doubts now, do i need to get them their own? will another 2 twin mattresses fit in the tent? kids are 3 and 5.

Self inflating mattresses are good. We have Hi Gear ones for the kids which have slightly raised edges to stop them rolling off.

thanks:) I bought the mattresses and they inflated so fast with the thing that attaches to the car:) dh was pretty relieved too...
