any recommendations for campsites in the vendee?

That's pretty much it. Seems to be lots of campsites in the area but struggling to narrow it down. I've visited the area and stayed in a chalet but this is first time camping in the area.
Would prefer somewhere nearish a town where you can go out for dinner etc (walking distance) but its not essential.

Never been just was the right price and looked good(obviously the brochure is not biased in any way!) I have read good reviews of Bel in La Tranche Sur Mer Keycamp code VS017 for further info.

Stayed here last year in Jard sur Mer it was lovely booked direct as it was cheaper. Great slides which end in a tough so safe even for brave little ones. Pool open late on Saturday night which was fun and handy for lots of places in the area. Decnt pitches for camping by the look of it not too small also not a very big site either so felt safe.

Les Ecureuils is lovely - my parents stay there every year and I used to stay as a child. We stay at La Pomme de Pin in Jard, which we love - it is quite quiet and 'old school' but we literally barely move the car for the fortnight as you can easily (inc our 3 old) walk to all the shops / restaurants in the town / port and to the beach from the site.

The Vendee is lovely, but lots of the town are now very touristy (nothing wrong with that, just depends what you want) so I would narrow it down by getting a feel for the different towns and then deciding which you would like to be nearest to? Hope that helps!
