Whats the difference between and Icey Tek and a Yeti?

And why are they so good?

I can only say that although it's white, the yeti I got for my birthday is fab. My other half, who purchased it said that the yeti was meant to be made more sturdily (and the certificate of bear-proof-ness and pictures of fishermen standing on theirs seem to be evidence of this) but maybe they just saw him coming ... ;-) I do secretly wish it was red though.

Grin

Anyone else know the difference?

Im pretty sure that there are no bears in deepest darkest Kent so bear proofness not necessary (though those damn kids do keep finding my chocolate Grin)

Not sure anything can withstand chocolate attack, but take your point about bears - none in Yorkshire either that I know of.

Since you can get seat pads for Icey teks I am sue they are fit for sitting on!

afaics they are just the same type of coolbox but made by different companies, so you just choose what suits you better. I was tempted b a Yeti because of the handle. But have gone for Icey Tek because it's stylish and is cheaper.

I can stand on my IceyTek no problem and I weigh a lot. The Iceytek is a slight arse to carry when full as it has no handle. But all you need to do is get it out of the car and into the tent and you can manage it using the lip. I can see why if you were a fisherman and lugging it down to a riverbank a Yeti might be better.
