Wow, that's a rather lovely big tent!

It's the same layout as ours I think, although bigger. We've got a Kampa Filey 6 and love the porch area at the front.

That's where we spend most of our time when camping, it's lovely.

I hope you have many happy trips with you new tent.

Doyouthink, I liked the porch as well. Although, I am wondering if the tent is a bit big for us now as dh seems to be chickening out of coming with us and one of the reasons I got such a big one is because dh and his stuff tend to take up a lot of space! The boys are very excited. I will probably put it up in the garden Easter weekend for practice and after that will take the boys here for a weekend as they do watersports and the place itself is only about an hour away so if needs be we could pack up and go home in an emergency.

I'm well into my camping, and v chuffed for you!!

We invested in a porch for ours last year, and a big windbreak. I love it, we're outside playing cards or games even when it's raining in the evening. It also feels a bit like a sitting room when the children have gone to sleep... we sit in our comfy (folding!) chairs with candles on the table, and chat, or read to each other. You've made me look forward to the summer with this thread Smile.

that sounds lovely shockers! I was envisaging myself in the porch with my kindle and several a glass of wine when the smalls have gone to bed.

Ahh... you've just reminded me... a lidded bucket is a must unless you, a) have a strong bladder, b) plan to pitch near the loos.

Fellow wine drinker y'see Wink.

shockers, there is a little side porch on the tent which I have designated as toilet area! Ds4 is almost four and always needs the toilet in the very early hours!
