If anyone is thinking of camping in Ireland

Have just discovered that this website, total camping Ireland is the one to go to.

I thought I'd point it out as there is a very prominent site which appears to be run by the ICC ( Irish camping and caravanning council) and a lot of the sites I know of are missing from it and I only know about them because I am Irish. If you are coming from abroad, you might not necessarily find out about them.

Anyhow, HTH.Smile

Thanks very much! Thinking of going to the South West coast so that's saved my Googles. :)

Hedley, have a look at site then! I have never been there but I intend to go there at some stage. It always seems to get great reviews.

Thanks very much for the link. It is exactly what I needed to look at.
We are planning on travelling around Ireland this summer.
I am very excited about going, even though we were originally going to South of France! Let's hope it doesn't rain too much!

Lovely, kahlua. Afraid I can't make any promises about the weather but we do have good pubs!

Chip, the pubs will certainly make up for the sunshine!! Perhaps it will more of a pub crawl than beach hoppping!

We go to Mayo a lot as dh has family there but thought we would travel around a bit this year, on our way to Mayo, as there is so much more to see.

Are you getting the ferry to Dublin? Or Rosslare?
