Got new tent and am looking for somewhere really beachy to try it out. Criteria is that if we get to the beach easily there must be amazing sea views, obv both being the dream Thinking West country, Kent/East Sussex coast or Pembrokeshire but open to ideas.
Thanks.

we went www.camping-pembrokeshire.co.uk/ here last year, and are going back this. Campsite on the cliff top, is a 10 min walk down to the beach, and significantly longer back up! But the beach is lovely. Toilets and showers clean, in a square around an open courtyard. We walked to Tenby along the cliffs.

Funny you should mention that one, we've got relatives who used to rent a private static there and loved it, even before the new facilities block. Could be an omen...Grin

have you tried the ukcampsite search facility- you can go county by county and get them to appear on a map
this for example is cornwall Then zoom in to the ones by the coast....
try this place or
this place

Nodes Point on IOW fits the sea view criteria / beach and has just been upated, make sure you book non electric pitch for bay view.

Ruda and Woolacombe both have sea views also though haven;t been there.

Pentewan is also right on a beach in cornwall.

Eweleaze- right on a cliff overlooking sea, steps down to beach. Only operates August though...

Three cliffs bay
Gorgeous sea views, from your tent. A steep walk down to the beach though which is a bit dodgy with toddlers, although you can go the longer way round to avoid the steep path. Campsite is right on the top of the cliff.

Woodhill Park East Runton near Cromer

It's a cliff top site so no direct access to the sea but it's only a five minute walk down the hill and there are regular buses in both directions to Cromer, Sheringham and beyond if you don't want to drive.

There is a little, humpy hill at the Cliff side of the site that people sit on to watch the sun go down as in that spot you get the illusion that it's going down over the sea.

Thanks all.

Wow at Pentewan's pics! Like the idea of Croyde View with its family fire pitches but its website gives no facilities info and there are no reviews on UKCampsite, I assume it's new (or sneakily changed name).

Norman's Bay near Eastbourne have their own shingle beach across a track from the site. It's not the most picturesque wild kind of site.

If you fancy Norfolk, High Sands Creek at Stiffkey has direct access to the saltmarsh, fabulous views, and a long walk across the saltmarsh to the sandy beach and sea (you should see seals basking at low tide). Pinewoods at Wells next the Sea is behind the dunes and pinewoods behind a wonderful beach with fabulous views - miles of sand to Holkham.

People say Waxham Sands on the beach closer to the Broads is nice, too.

We go camping to Ruda in Croyde every May half term - it's great with sea views and direct access to beach.

Very basic site but has amazing views and short (steep) walk to beach
