So I've got to go camping and I know nothing. This is all for my son, who's a Beaver and if he wants to go on summer camp he has to have a tent and a willing mug parent to go with him.
After lots of research I'm still no wiser but have chosen this tent or should I get this there's only the two of us to get in, but can't dicided whether the 2 man is big enough. What do you think? Any help will be gratefully recieved. Please!!!Confused

well personally, if it were me, i would get one of these

but that may be considered cheating Wink

depends on the kind of camping you're doing and the facilities you'll have and stuff like that I guess.
if you'll literally just be sleeping in the tent then just get a little one, but if you';ll need to do any "living" in the tent you might want one with a separate sleeping and living area

2plus3 · 01/03/2012 22:07

Thanks thisisyesterday we will just be sleeping in the tent, all other living and playing outside. Like the look of the tents in your link will check them out. ( gives thisisyesterday a ERF wave )

I'd get the bigger one otherwise your beds will probably fill the entire floor space. Getting dressed in a tiny tent is a nightmare.

I recommend the popups thisisyesterday linked to. We have this one and it's fabulous. The living space is big enough for two adults on chairs, a small table and a small child's toys.

It's £10 at the moment as well.

muchostinky · 02/03/2012 10:35

Quenelle - where is that tent £10? Had a wee look and possibly I am blind as a bat, but can't see it..... :)

swampster · 02/03/2012 10:51

I assume that was meant to say 10% off.

swampster · 02/03/2012 10:55

That is soooooooo weird! I looked, it was £89 with 10% off. Two seconds later it is £129. WTF is that about?

thisisyesterday · 02/03/2012 11:35

yes same happened to me.

i was going to buy one, but i think what it is is that it is £89.99 in store.

so if you click buy online it goes up to £129.99

muchostinky · 02/03/2012 11:35

Thanks swampster - that's what I thought, but decided to check in case I missed a bargain! Lol

Says £89.99 for me though

muchostinky · 02/03/2012 11:36

Yeah it is the buy in store that puts it up in proce

Quenelle · 02/03/2012 12:34

Sorry, sorry, sorry I meant £10 off Blush

Quenelle · 02/03/2012 12:37

Now that is fishy. I would phone them if I were you. I bought mine online last summer for £99 plus £5 delivery.

chipmonkey · 02/03/2012 13:22

My sons have a Quechue 2 seconds pop up for 2 people and it easily fits the older three and some gear, ds1 is 15, ds2 is 13, ds3 is 7. They practically lived in it last summer and ds1 and ds2 took on on a weekend Tae Kwon Do camp. It was definitely less than £100 including shipping to Ireland.

chipmonkey · 02/03/2012 13:23

Sorry, Quechua!

2plus3 · 02/03/2012 16:54

Gosh I got very excited there when I thought there was a tent for £10. Thanks for all the help, good point about getting dressed in a tiny tent!!! I'm going to have a good look at all links, it's making my head swim. :)
