Im arranging a meet up of some of the women met on a course. We're spread out nationally but would like to camp somewhere fairly easy to get to, children & partners will probably join us.

Has anyone organised anything similar? I don't really know where to start.

Who arranges the MN camp? Maybe I can just copy that...

I would say pick a date then an area, look at the facilities you need....very basic or hook up, showers & loos, play area etc. Depending on how big a group you are, if you're a big group lots of sites take "rally" sized groups. We go away every year with a large group...8 families of various sizes. We like to go where there's showers, loos, nice walks, play area and local take aways. We always contact the site direct to discuss our needs...ie we like to be grouped together.

first you need to decide where to go. so look at a map and pick the middle of all of you?
then you want to look at campsites in that area. what's important to you? do you want campfires? do you want a back to basics site or all mod-cons site?
then you see which places will take groups, that might narrow it down further,

ukcampsite is great for a search as you can narrow it by places who will take groups and all that kind of thing, and you can check reviews to see if they're good or not.

Thanks both of you. It sounds like sites won't necessarily be put off then. I will have to make some decisions about what we all want, bit of guess work.

I think the Midlands is probably our best bet.
