recommendations needed (warning, I'm not a born camper and am very fussy!)

I'm looking for recommendations for lovely clean campsites with spider free regularly cleaned toilet and shower block.
We stayed at St Ives bay in Cornwall for the last 2 years which is really nice but we wanted to go somewhere else this year.
I'm happy to travel anywhere and pay over the odds if its nice! Any one have any recommendations?

Best and cleanest facilities I have ever come across were at Camping L'ardechois in the Ardeche region of France. And if you don't fancy sharing toilet/shower facilities with other campers (despite them being modern and spotlessly clean), you can hire out a family bathroom.

That looks really nice, but with a 20 month and a 5 month in tow I think the drive may be too long!
I think ideally we'd like to stay in the uk, but up to a 2 hour drive from Calais. Wouldn't be too bad

(I do realise saying I'm happy to travel anywhere then saying its too far is a slight contradiction Blush)

Wellington Country Park near Reading, Wareham Forest near Poole and Swiss Farm International are all lovely ones I have stayed in over last 18 months. Lots to do and very good clean facilities.

Sorry swiss farm is in Henley on Thames

Wilksworth Farm, Dorset, Inside Park, Dorset, Chestnut Meadows, Bexhill. All excellent sites, top notch bathroom facilities, cafe on site for 2 of them.

Join the caravan and camping club - any of their sites I've stayed on has had spotless facilities.

Damage Barton near Woolacombe was very clean.

The Orchards on the Isle of Wight is great. They have actual little 'bathrooms' with shower and loo inside, and a floor scraper thing which is religiously used by every occupant on leaving. Lovely countryside, play areas, takeaway, shop. And only a short ferry ride away.
