Is anyone interested in a Diamond Jubilee MN Camping trip?

I think Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 June are Bank Holidays- and its also half term.

Last year lots of the campsites did special event things for the royal wedding (hog roasts, bonfires etc) so just wondered if anyone was interested in a MN Jubilee camping trip, maybe Sat to Tues?

We could put up bunting and compare tealight chandeliers and deathsocks? Grin

I guess we would need to book in advance if enough people could do it and would need to be fairly central area...

[http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=10771 This] place lets you hire whole field - tho don't know about availability and if there'd be enough room, how many people / families usually go to an MN camp??

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 14/02/2012 21:10

We are abroad, but have fun if you do go!

Exogenesis · 14/02/2012 21:12

I would love to. Me and DD need an excuse to try out the new tent!

northernmonkey · 14/02/2012 21:13

That sounds like a fab idea!!
I'm marking my place to watch thus thread with interest Smile

GlitterKitty · 14/02/2012 21:17

Hooray Thats two and MrsMc as well maybe?

I dont know because I have never been on a MN camping trip befire... think one happened last year but we were otherwise engaged.

Awww... its a shame your away Seashells, cant you cancel? A MN gintin/ winefest will be MUCH more fun than boring old forrin lands...

I am picturing everyone bringing laptops and iphones and sitting in a ring around the campdfire silently MNing... Grin

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 14/02/2012 21:24

Nettle tea had one last year, I think a few went and enjoyed it! I Woukd book up quickly though, bookings this year have gone mad from the sounds of things :)

Lovecat · 15/02/2012 18:59

I've already booked that weekend away... but if you all want to come and join me that would be fab :o

Going to Nantcol Waterfalls for the long weekend :)

MrsMc82 · 15/02/2012 19:29

Oh yes I'm interested too :o didn't say that bit did I? There is small possibility that I'm having mt 30th bday party that weekend too tho...... What a dilema eh?! :o

Funtimewincies · 17/02/2012 18:12

If only Lovecat, I checked Nantcol a couple of months ago for that weekend and they were already fully booked Shock!

Yani · 17/02/2012 18:17

Would love to, but N Yorks a tad far from us! :)

Lovecat · 17/02/2012 19:53

Really Funtimes? Shock

Wow, I was lucky to get in, then... we only booked on the 12th Jan!

Slubberdegullion · 17/02/2012 19:55

Oh I'm sorry Glitter. We are already booked to go to the Lleyn that week.

Funtimewincies · 17/02/2012 19:57

Lovecat, I looked between Christmas and New Year and couldn't get all the nights we wanted Sad. If we'd wanted a hook-up we might have been OK.

Lovecat · 17/02/2012 20:22

Weird, because we don't have hook up with our booking - maybe someone cancelled and we got in in that moment... (I'm worried now, need to recheck the email and make sure it's those dates!)
