Camping when pregnant - Am i insane?

I am pregnant! However that the realisation that I may not be able to go camping this summer has just hit me. I reckon I should be fine to go, but I do have some joint problems that are already hassling me and Im only just three months. Im due Sept 1st

Has anyone been camping whilst pregnant and do you have any tips?

TIA

friend camped at 38/39 weeks, albeit only an hour from home. Several families were all together at a church conference/festival, and friend decided it was easier to be with a bunch of mates who could help out with her older kids, than be home on her own!

I think it depends what you usually sleep on, and if your joint problems will allow you to get that low late on in pregnancy. I know I couldn't have got down to the ground with my second child, the SPD meant I was pretty immobile.

I would have thought you'd be fine if you had a half decent airbed or camp bed.
Frequent loo trips might be a pain though.

I was wondering about the toilet trips Im bad enough already! I do have a she wee though!!! (not dared to use it yet however) which might be a better idea than a late night stumble to the toilets,

I have a really pants job and it gets me so stressed out at times particularly now they are being arsey because Im pregnant. Nothing really hits the spot like a weekend of camping to chill me out! I think the benefits outweigh the not so fun parts.

I have and used a travel potty at night rather than trip off to toilet block. Was about 19 weeks. Aside from that it was fine- air bed was actually quite comfy.

I went to V festival and was 7 months pregnant and I was fine. Get yourself a cheapo portaloo mine cost £20 and does the job.

I'm due on the 5th June according to scan. Booked a late May Bank Holiday camping trip and just found out it has been pushed into June for the Queens party.

So I'll be camping until 4th (1 day before due date).

I camped 2 days before my due date - was totally fine. In fact, it was the best few nights sleep I had had in the pregnancy. Go for it.

I went camping at 24 weeks, no probs, no potties. Also mountain biking Shock.
