Help me plan my holidays... have no imagination

hello... am sat huddled in warm sitting room lit by lovely fire and yet badly want to be slightly chilly, making a cup of tea in my campervan with the rain hammering on the roof and my DH and DS arguing over who has won at Uno. Need to do the annual plan of where to go.. comfortzone is cornwall...we live on the south coast so do lots of short weekends to dorset and the new forest. Where else in this beautiful country should we visit this year? Any recommendations - can drive up to about 4 hours for a decent weekend away for walking, beaching and general avoidance of lots of other people Grin

Pemobrokeshire, we went to a site near St Davids called Porth Clais farm, it has stunning views, good hot showers and you can get straight on to the coastal path off the site. Swimming in the little harbour below the site if that floats your boat.

Some amazing beaches around too.

Only draw back is the wind but there are plenty of hedges to get up against.

Happy huntingSmile.

second pembrokeshire too. there are loads of fab tiny sites, often max five pitches, all with own fire pit and picnic table. if you fancy peaceful camping, you can't beat it. we are gtr london/ surrey and we can do st davids in 5hrs at right time of day.

New forest? Lovely walking, bike riding as well as nice family days out/attractions.

I love North Wales, Tudweilog has a nice small campsite opposite the beach

North Norfolk? We are going there, but it might be a bit busy

Stranrar is nice (but not, I think, spelt like that)

thank you for all your ideas! Love the sound of Pembrokeshire and Wales in general. I never seem to find the tiny sites....am even considering joining the C&C club to get access to the certificated places. Has anyone done that?
We need to plan June half term, as long as DH can take the time off work. My DS has an inset the Friday before it starts so am thinking maybe we trek up to Wales and spend some time getting to know the area and where works for us
Was also wondering about Norfolk and think we need to do a Scotland trip too. Need more days off work! And less school day restrictions Grin
Can really recommend the New Forest although if you have no loo then I think you are mostly restricted to quite large sites which aren't always everyones cup of tea. Am even tempted to try a a bit of stealth wild camping this year.

Stealth wild camping in the new forest is impossible from what I hear. I read on one of the campervan forums about how all the little car parks in the forest are patrolled at night to prevent this. Smeone does spot checks through the night. I'd been thinking of doing it but went to a proper site instead.

I've done wild campervan camping in other areas and it's been fine.

I'm in the C&c club and have used their small sites which have been lovely. Downside is though that there often aren't any other kids so dd doesn't have friend making opportunity.

Norfolk is nice, have used certified sites at wells next the sea and nearer the broads as well.
