I've done a search of the archives, so I know that some of you have been here. We're planning to go in August with our DSs (17&16) because it looks like there would be plenty for them to do.

However, people have mentioned that it's a drive from the town of Carnac. Does anyone know if there is a cycle path to get there? We'll be taking bikes, and really enjoy eating out and cycling back - preferably not along a main road.

Any specific information would be welcomed.

Thanks - that sounds promising. We've never been to Brittany before. We usually go further south, to the Vendee, because of the weather, but even there it's not been great the past couple of years. Looking forward to a change of scene.

we've been there a couple of times at may half term. I think you can cycle from the back gate, but don't think there are specific paths - think the roads are quite small - you could try google maps? its not that far from carnac. its a lovely area and men du is one of our favourite beaches anywhere. worth getting a detailed map as there are some other lovely beaches off the beaten track.

weather stats for south brittany are pretty good. we much prefer it to vendee as we found that a bit soulless. vannes and auray are worth a visit and gulf de morbihan area is very pretty. in carnac on the road that goes towards men du is the best supermarket and just off this road are a load of nice restaurants/bars
