We are off to stay in a pod next week. Can anyone tell me about anywhere in walking distance where we can have a nice dinner? I am worried everywhere will be overpriced and we are on a tight budget. Thank you.

Walking distance limits it somewhat. There's a few pubs in Charlbury, other than that, possibly a longer walk to Enstone and a pub. I'd recommend walking to Charlbury and catching the bus to Woodstock, plenty of nice restaurants and pubs there and has a great vibe to the place.
