Which small, family campsites in France?

We're recent converts to camping and fancy doing an extended camping tour somewhere in France next year (at least 3 weeks) - a bit further afield than Brittany, but not right down south as it's a bit of a trek. Probably West coast, but doesn't have to be.
We have 2 small dc (wil be 6 and 4) and prefer well-kept but pretty low-key sites. I've had a look online, and so many of the French campsites look huge and busy, a bit like whole holiday resorts in themselves !
Can anyone recommend any lovely, relatively small, peaceful campsites? Thanks!

Arctic, we've just done 18 days at domaine des forges, although been back a few weeks now. Lovely site.

This is the second time today I'm linking to here

It is Brittany, though. We had a great time here. Five minutes from a fab beach.

We also went here in the north Vendee. Nice, but not as nice as the first.

Both boys (9 and 7) had a blast at both.

www.camping-lecolombier.com/en/ is just heavenly.

Not small, but very quiet and in a lovely woodland setting with visiting deer.
