Mother Iveys Bay near Padstow.
It was a little bit of camping heaven, lovely pitches, fab showers nice little shop, not too expensive in term time.

And best of all its own beautiul little beach.

I believe it gets overcrowded in the main summer hols but this weekend it wasn't crowded at all, it was lovely.

I nearly booked this site on Saturday! I wanted somewhere for the 1st 2 weeks of the summer holidays. When I looked on UK Campsite though the reviews all loved the place but not in the summer! Apparently they open up another field at this time of year which is a long way from the facilities and these aren't enough to cope with all the extra people. So I didn't book it. It sounds perfect otherwise. And yes I am !

Yes hocus, it is the extra field
called the Meadows that causes the issues, it is a huge field that only has portacabin facilities.

I am sure that they are fine, we have used portacabins which have been excellent but I guess some people would choose not to use them and this puts additional pressure on the other toilet/shower/washing up areas.

it is a shame, if only they would take a few less tents on that field it would make a big difference I am sure.

We wouldn't go in the summer hols for this reason but we will definatly return for a short break out of season when we can.
